- My Volvo 2007 S40 (with moonroof) fills with water on passenger side during heavy rain. I remove mats, dry it out, put it in the sun - and next time it rains, I have an inch of water on the floor again. Why isn't Volvo recalling?

I had to have the clogged drain tubes of my 2005 S40 replaced, and the interior treated a couple of years ago. Today I noticed the floor wet again after some heavy rains during this week. I suspect it could be the drain tubes. I really don't want to spend the $750+ to fix this again. But as I wait on the legal wheels to turn, I may not have much choice.

My wife told me today that there is water inside our 2001 Volvo S60. It was always in covered parking until now. Last night we had big rain. At first I couldn't believe hearing such a thing. And now, I believe it. It is on the driver's side. a lot of water, on the carpet, on the seat, and even on the vanity mirror.

Volvo, tsk tsk tsk!

I own a 2006 XC90, and also have the Sunroof drainage problems. I just paid over $800.00 to have all seats removed and the carpets removed and dried out. Only Volvo service has ever touched this car; they "discovered" the problem when I brought it in for normal maintenance. I was told that I should have been telling them when the car was in for service to check the drain plugs for blockage. Why would I? I didn't know there was an issue, nor was there anything in the Volvo books. Yes there should be a class action law suit, and they should add to the mix the lousy headlights that cloud over and impair night driving.

TO SAY THAT THIS LAW FIRM IS SUBSTANDARD WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT. NOW THEY DO NOT EVEN ALLOW ONE TO LEAVE A CALL-BACK NUMBER. SHOULD ONE PRESUME THAT, NOW THAT THEIR FEES ARE ASSURED, THEIR CLIENTS ARE OF NO IMPORT. SO IT SURELY SEEMS!

I have a 2009 S40, it has been a dry year until a few weeks ago. We had rain and I had water on the floorboards, I thought that I may have not closed the door completely, so I dried out as best I could, luckily it did not rain again and it was very hot, so with windows down and lysol sprayed the floor dried and it did not smell. Then it rained again, and it has not stopped. I have unclogged the drains by snaking with weed eater line, water dropped in line drained well but I continue to get water collected on the floorboard..

Ughhh.... waiting on recall or class action

its too soon for this kind of (non covered) problem on a fairly new car with less than 40K miles

same problem here I have a 2005 S40 water leak issue too, had the windshield checked for leaks and the sunroof. Interesting when I called the dealer they acted like this is an isolated issue, and "the car is out of warranty" is was told, and we are not aware of any pending class action suit.
if you want to bring it in it will cost $100.00 for diagnostic work, plus parts and labor to fix"
lets make the class action suit!
thank you

We need a suit for this issue AND the AC found in the Volvo S40. I will NEVER buy another Volvo. It has cost me over $5000 and Volvo of America told me where to go.
